Mark Takesuye, O.D.

I am proud to announce that Dr. Mark Takesuye is joining our practice as our newest associate. He is a native to Long Beach, California, and attended the University of California, San Diego for his Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology. His received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating with honors in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Takesuye then continued his optometric education with a residency through the Southern College of Optometry with a focus in vision therapy, neuro-optometric rehabilitation, and pediatric optometry in St. Joseph, Michigan. He has studied and trained in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, contact lenses, dry eyes, and is certified in orthokeratology, non-surgical treatment for nearsightedness.

We both share a passion for developmental vision with his special interest in neuro-optometric rehabilitation for patients with concussion, strokes, traumatic brain injury, or field loss. His addition will allow me to meet the increased demand for vision-based learning and reading problems, amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (wandering eye), autism, and sports vision enhancement. In his free time, Dr. Takesuye enjoys rock climbing, surfing, and cooking. We are excited to have him at our practice and we look forward to introducing him to you.
